Hello!
First off I need to tell you that your support has been awesome!

Next... Is there a way to speed up my website. I used the Calcio template and redesigned a few things. It is far from done and loads very slow. I even did some speed tests and it gave it a poor speed review. I did turn on caching as well as a few other things but it still seems slow.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated :)

I did revert the caching back to no at the moment.

Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for good review of our support.

1) Please read my article: https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/how-to-speed-up-joomla-site

2) In SP PB admin Options > Disable Font Awesome -- don't worry file is loaded from your helix template anyway,
but using this tip you can safe ~~40 Kb

3) Google Fonts, do you really need 3 different fonts. Beside Zilla is loaded 2x

for sure, you should reduce image size, and consider changes with google fonts.

Paul,
Regarding your first reply, I did remove one Google font. How do I remove the duplicate Zilla google font is loaded 2x from loading twice? Also, I did Disable Font Awesome.

<link href="//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Zilla+Slab:100,100italic,200,200italic,300,300italic,400,400italic,500,500italic,600,600italic,700,700italic,800,800italic,900,900italic" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

<link href="//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Zilla+Slab:300,300italic,regular,italic,500,500italic,600,600italic,700,700italic&subset=latin-ext" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

Thanks!

Maybe you have chosen this F0nt inside SPPB ?

Helix nor SPPB doesn't load that font by default. You have to dig.

Ok, thanks, Paul!

I followed your suggestion and purchased JCH Optimize as well as changed my htacess for GZIP. It definitely helps and will keep you updated after I work a bit more on increasing my speed.

Thanks!
