1. News Show SP2 (module, not addon!)
  2. Monday, 16 March 2015
Hello,

On every site I'm using News Show SP2 the thumbnails are always stretched, to wide. Could you help me fix it. I cannot find any settings in module manager.

Here is one example: http://wilsonshospitalschool.schoolspace.co/index.php

Thank you

Maja

Hi Maja,

Could you please provide a screenshot pointing to the instance of the "News Show SP2" module on your site? I would like to check the "News Show SP2" module thumbnails on your site you are talking about.

Regards,

Alex

Hi Maja,

I am not sure what you meant by "the thumbnails are always stretched", as I see them lined up just nicely on your news module. Are you aware that you can manually assign width and height to your thumbnails (please see the relevant documentation at http://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/joomla-extensions/news-show-sp2)?

Regards,

Alex
Hello Alex,

By stretched I mean the photos are stretch out - see the people on thumbnails the photos don't look right. Each image is different dimensions in article so I cannot use one width and height for all of them and I don't see any aspect ratio in my setting, like on your demo setting you send me like to. My source is not K2, but joomla category.

Still don't know how to solve this issue :(

Thanks
Hi Maja,

I don's see anything abnormal with photos when I view them by clicking on your thumbnails. Please see what I see on my screenshots attached below.

Alex

Hi,

Here are more examples:

http://scoilmhuiretrim.com/

How can I add ratio aspect to module thumbnails - each photo is different dimensions in the article so they cannot be showing correctly if I set up only one width and height for all of them in module settings - do you agree?

Please see screenshots
Thank you

Hello,

Is there anything you can do or developer who build this extension can help?

Even on your demo site thumbnails are stretched!

Hi,
Open 'News Show sp2' module from backend here you will get 'Article Layout' tab in this tab in the bottom you will get 'Thumbnail width' and 'Thumbnail height' section. here you can set height width for thumbnail whatever you want. so, after configured height width of the thumbnail you should upload your images with configured thumbnail ratio.

and here you will get thumbnail generate code: 'modules/mod_news_show_sp2/image.php'

- Thanks
Hello,

I did set up height and width - but it doesn't help if images in articles have different dimensions and there is one height an width in module settings in pixels.

You can see your own demo site - the thumbnails are stretched there as well. Why is that?

Why nobody can help me here since March!?

And how this file should help me to fix it? thumbnail generate code: 'modules/mod_news_show_sp2/image.php'

Thanks
hi,
i saw in your site some images is good some are not. first re-upload image which isn't good. and then open news show sp2 then save it and finally clear joomla cache. if still you are facing problem then pm me your admin access.

- Thanks
Hello,

So basically what you saying is that all photos must be the same dimension in articles to look the same in thumbnails?
ya, and when you upload a image it cropping that time.
Then I have to search for module with aspect ratio. Not very good extension, sorry.
you can pm me your admin access i will take a look this issue closely.

- THanks
