1. Wish a new template!
  2. Monday, 29 June 2020
I am gong to make a site for a local political party. It's going to look like the "mother-party" as much as possible.
They want
a public part with presentations - and the possibility to sign up for events
a closed part for members with information - and an internal calender
newsletter function
Discussion forums - with seperate access for candidats - board members and council group

DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA TO A TEMPLATE FOR THIS?
Or should I just start ajusting Helix Ultimate?
Accepted Answer
In that case, I suggest Helix Ultimate.
Don't worry, just start building then you would click update.

Kunena is not our product, so no support from us. It's on your hands.

Hi,
1) We have this one:

http://demo.joomshaper.com/?template=politist

2) But indeed, you can start with raw Helix Ultimate,
soon it should get an update so you would be even happier.

I cannot use that template.
I have to make it look like socialdemokratiet.dk
so I guess it will be Helix Ultimate - and maybe Kunena for forum
When is the update??

Using tips from video,
knowledge about the use of CSS is necessary in this case.

You cannot do all the steps from Helix options. Not this time.

is it not possible to use another font in Helix?

Yes and No

Yes - only by custom CSS, you have to manually define font style for selected HTML tags or classes. Same as it would be in a static HTML website.
No - custom font won't be visible in select options in Typography of Helix nor SPPB

Is now all clear? I hope. Have a nice day.

WELL - I was not so clever after all - cuz I can't make it work!!!

1 - I cannot make the black dots go away to the left above the menu
2 - I cannot make the menu float to the left

can you help?

ad 1) Those dots are from the menu, and the menu is <li> list and by default it has dots. Use Custom CSS to hide them, you are good in this as you mentioned, right.
To be honest, I don't understand why you published this menu anyway. Yes, there is menu in "menu" position.

ad 2) Again basic custom CSS

.sp-megamenu-parent {float: left; }

You have to be VERY TIRED. Maybe take a hammock, walk to the near park and take a nap between nature. Good advice, no offense.

I can figure out - they are li - but I cannot figure out why they are THERE??? Why aren't they beside the menuitems??

well - I thought I did that??

in my custom.css I have:
body.ltr .sp-megamenu-parent > li.sp-has-child > a::after, body.ltr .sp-megamenu-parent > li.sp-has-child > span::after {
font-family: 'Brandon Grotesque';
font-weight: 900;
content: "\f107";
float: left;
margin-left: 7px;
}

but it doesn't float left

I don’t understand what you are trying to do on your site. Doesn't look like good css knowledge. :D
For what is now on your site, this code is meaningless and completely does not work.
This code is for the icon, if the menu item has a drop-down menu. But you don’t have a dropdown menu anywhere

By default is

.sp-megamenu-parent {float: right; }

that's why I suggest using

.sp-megamenu-parent {float: left; }

Sorry, but I cannot customize your website, as I saw you don't listen, and requests became beyond support. This not Joomshaper support anymore, but CSS and Joomla. Have a nice day.

that's ok. anyway I have to start over - as it shows that he doesn't want that font anyway - so much easier to start over (glad I made a copy of the template to start with :-) )
