Hi
I spent 2 hours on this problem, but no solution :
I use several Helix 3 configurations on a site : 1 for homepage, and another for each category ( with different colours and layouts).
The search module, in the top bar position, works fine on all the pages, except on home page, with exactly the same parameters.
Any idea ?

I found it !

On the home page, I have no Helix position for "Component"....

I had just to assign the layout of another page to the results of the search module, and it works.

So, the bug were between my keyboard and my chair.

Thanks for answering Paul.

Hi,
Probably JavaScript conflict or you compressed JS files on homepage only

You can on homepage give a link to the search page only. If somehow you have to keep all extra modules and JS compression.

In Helix 3, I disabled "Compress CSS" and "Compress Javascript" on all templates.
I also disabled JCH optimize, but it should not be guilty, because it works the same on all the pages.
All caches empty => still no search on homepage.

Now much better : after I disabled all compressions and empty and disable all caches (Joomla, JCH, and server), the search module doesn't work on any of the templates of this site.

Personally, I have Joomla core search module on 10 websites (helix3), and still work.

Yes I can enter words, but it doesn't display any result.
Last minute : now, it's like before : no search result on homepage, but it works on other pages.
I also tried by duplicating another search module on the right, working fine on other pages, to this top position. No results.

no search result on homepage

I still don't understand,
If you use Search module, results should be on a separate subpage, not this same, it's how Joomla works.
Anyway, I am not so sure if it's our fault.
