Hi, buy a subscription in order to receive support before a insidente (repetitive) with its framework Helix.
We are developing different websites using as a basis the Helix framework, and as the falang component for multilingual site, and in all cases we have problems with translations of menus.
The cases are many, but I think one solution would have solved the case rest.
Here the case of NFPA story project.

url: http://162.220.160.9/~nfpajla/

This project is in two languages, Spanish and Portuguese, Spanish is the primary language.

We are translating into Portuguese and one of the elements is always first we translate the main menu, we have not done yet because it fails to translate (we are moving forward with other elements and sections).
We firmly believe that the problem is with your Helix framework (unless the contrary is proved to us), because (as I said) we have more developing website with the same problem, for example:

http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/provenzal

Also we have other website with gantry framework and this framework we have no problems with Falang translations of menus. Recently installed a test Gantry and Falang, and both work well, for example: http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/web

We use Falang for Multilanguage projects fastest way.

Forward to your support to this incident.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I´m also having some issues using the Traveel Kit Themplate (HelixII) and the Falang Module (V2.1.0 (free)).

The English Home Menu (second language) is redirecting the visitors to the Portuguese (main language), all the others are ok.

Site: www.atriumhoteis.com.br

Best wishes,

Again I say that with the framework Gantry , T3, Gavers, etc. we have no problems with the menu or anything. Unfortunately bought ThemeForest templates for NFPA Clubempresarial projects and are developed with Helix basis.
Let's test how much work it is to do what the user "Alex Smirnov" suggests to do.
But if it is too much work, I will insist on maintaining Falang solution. It is not fair because of a shoddy framework we have to redo a lot of work.
Now the user "Alex Smirnov" has not answered me if I go or not go, if you did something or did not do anything on the web copy of NFPA I gave him the accesses.

Hi there,

What frustrates you from simply opening the "Home" menu item by going in Joomla's back end to "Menu" -> "Your Language Main Menu" -> "Your Language Home Menu Item" and manually changing the "Home" text to its required language equivalent?

As Jakir pointed to you, you can translate Joomla content items, like module names, menu names, menu items names, articles titles, articles content etc, simply under Joomla's own back end panel, without having to install for this job any extensions.

Regards,

Alex

Hello, Jakir hasan, I just saw the video, I thought you said that the video would show me how it works falang with helix.
Well, I can not do this in the video samples. Using the system's core joomla multilanguage, if only for the menu, I assumed recreate modules for version Portuguese and layout of new sections.
NFPA is a large project and have already advancing translations (using Falang) in different sections, we only need to solve the menu (for the NFPA web project and other projects that use Helix).
Another thing we must make clear.
This menu MegaMenu controlled the Helix (which can not be translated with Falang) happens with all templates that are based on Helix, with all we've tested.
We tested with the free template Helix II

http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/provenzal/
http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/ret/
http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/ariana/

We tested with templates designed by other users and as a basis for developing using Helix, which are sold ThemeForest, is the case:

http://www.turnoverprojects.info/nfpa2/ (copy of NFPA)
http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/clubempresarial/

We await your prompt help. Greetings.

To Whom It May Concern:

We were asked to buy a membership in order to get support with an issue that we are facing with one of your components. The main issue is that the template we have is using Helix framework is not able to translate the system menu "MegaMenu", falang isn’t translating this menu, everything else if translated.

We have tested with the following framework with: Gantry, T3, and YJSG Gavern, and all of them do not present such problems with menu or anything other.

We were asked to provide you with the access to do testing of the site in question. As requested we have granted you access see following: http://www.turnoverprojects.info/nfpa2/ and we still haven’t received a response.

Please we truly need to get support in regards to this issue and continue working with you company and provide positive feedback, if not we would please like to request our money back.

Thank you for your help and support.

Best,

This is becoming chronic. We have applied the translation 2 websites joomla (in addition to the joomla sites we have truncated) which are using their framework Helix II and I we are concerned because we see with these 2 new sites to translate'll have the same events: not you can translate the menu MegaMenu.
day Friday last week will send a data access to a copy of a project where the problem is, hopefully I will soon have an answer.
Thank you very much.

Estimated,
I have just realized 5 tests in my localhost using different framework for template joomla 3.3.6, facilities with content of example, likewise I installed and setup the component falang in all the facilities. I tried with the following Frameworks: Helix (his framework), T3, Gantry, YJSG and Gavern, and only with the framework Helix the menu is not translated. Install the last version of the framework helix the II (V. 2.1.8), and even this way the problem was persisting. Then, where I know that the problem this one in Helix. The problem is that already we have ended with mas of 3 website in Spanish language using Helix Framework and these website I need to put them also in English and Portuguese.
Please help me with this, that Falang should translate the menus...

We have never had problems to translate joomla with the component falang not also, and this one is the first time that we try to translate a joomla using his(her, your) framework Helix, simply it(he,she) does not leave me.
Be fixed, we have several joomlas using Helix that I cannot translate the menu with Falang:

http://162.220.160.9/~nfpajla/
http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/provenzal
http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/ret
http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/promperu/2014-2/ariana

And in all I have the same problem...

and as I was saying, here: I have a test http://www.proyectoswebtilia.info/web/ translation of joomla using Gantry and Falang, and all good, the menus are translated. But with Helix not translate menus.

If you wish I can give accesses to one of my projects, maybe need algun type of special configuration different from any another framework, but please, do not stop helping me up to obtaining the solution.

Thank you very much for everything.

Hi there,

I had no problems with translating menu items, including via Falang Free 1.4.4.

Tested under Joomla 3.3.6 without sample data + certified by Joomla German language pack + certified by Joomla Russian language pack + freshly downloaded today Hilix-2 standalone template + freshly downloaded today Helix Framework system plug-in.

Having said that, there are many ways to skin the cat, which is - many ways in Joomla to do the same task, so if you create a user case for me with detailed steps to lead me to the same error you are facing on Helix, I am willing to give it a second go.

Regards.

Thank you very much for his response and support.
The component Falang is so popular and always we it have used, and rarely that we have had problems where present falang is always to been by the frameworks of the template joomla. Our personnel this one qualified to use the component falang for our website multilanguages and it is for it that we request him help us to meet on the solution to this case since there has appeared in all the sites joomla 3.3.6 and the frameworks Helix II.

Hi there,

Thank you for very detailed report on your issue.

As Mark Twain said once, "There are many ways to skin the cat", so I personally prefer using Josetta (paid) or Freestyle Translation Manager (free) for multilingual web-sites and never played with Falang.

Please bear with me and allow me two days to test Falang/Helix combo on my sandboxes for you to see what happens.

Regards,

Alex
