Hi there.

My question is based on this page from the Helix3 live demo:

http://demo.joomshaper.com/?template=helix3

I need to make sure to have a reliable search function that I can use for my website. I have clicked on the "Search" button from the Joomla dropdown menu.

I tested it:
On the home page at the very bottom there is a paragraph on the left: About Helix. In that paragraph the word "salami" appears. When I search for this word, it tells me that there are no results. How can this be possible if the word is there.

I will appreciate it if someone can help me understanding the search function. When I click on the Smart Search button, it does not even work and is not clickable.

I need to have a search function on my site that works. So far it has really been disappointing. :(

Thank you.
Deon

Joomla search feature searches inside the articles or any other content for which there is a search plugin. Word that you choose to search for exists in the custom HTML module and for that part there is no search plugin so no wonder it didn't find anything

Hi,

yes, PB should be used to create rich pages and not to maintain articles. PB is a page builder and not the content builder

Hi Igor.

I just want to make sure about something.

I have noticed on Helix3 demo site that it does not use SP Page Builder's Categories function but Joomla's. Why do you think is that? I have also noticed that they only use PB for feature rich layout pages and make more use of Joomla's Articles. I thought that all Articles need to be written with PB and not Joomla. On another site I re-wrote all my pages to PB. This was not good. :( Fortunately I don;t think I have deleted the old articles.

From what I have just noticed PB is only to create a flashier look to web sites and not to create all articles with PB.

Thank you for helping me. ;)

Thank you, Igor.

Appreciate your help. I am learning step-by-step. My next question is about the blog articles and how it is shown on the menu. Will post it now. Just busy formulating my question.
