Hello,

We are having an issue with the Finatic services add-on, there seems to be no place to add an ALT tag for the images. This poses a problem for both SEO and Accessibility.

Is there an update planned to resolve this issue or possibly a quick hack for the add-on?

It would be nice if SP Page Builder had a place for custom ALT tags for all images.

Kind regards,
John

Hi,
At first you need to declare/create a custom class within the finatic service addon:
https://prnt.sc/ro1i0w

Then please go to Extensions>Templates>Styles>
Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options.
Then find custom Javascript within the custom code.
https://prnt.sc/pu705g
https://prnt.sc/ro2bn3
Within the custom javascript please put the below code:

jQuery(function($){
$(".finatic_ps .sppb-row div:nth-child(1) .item img").attr('alt', 'Hello 1');
$(".finatic_ps .sppb-row div:nth-child(2) .item img").attr('alt', 'Hello 2');
$(".finatic_ps .sppb-row div:nth-child(3) .item img").attr('alt', 'Hello 3');
$(".finatic_ps .sppb-row div:nth-child(4) .item img").attr('alt', 'Hello 4');

});

Here, nth-child(1) indicates the first item and so on!
You may use your desired alter tag instead of Hello 1

Hope this helps!

Hi,
It can be done with JScript to add the alt tag to a specific item id.
You may give here your site URL.

Hi,
The following is the syntax for this:

$('.item img').attr('alt', 'hello');

You have to use the image ID/selector instead of '.item img'.
This code should be placed to custom javascript:
The path towards custom Javascript:
Extensions>Templates>Styles>
Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options.
Then find custom Javascript within the custom code.

If you want me to do this, please give me your admin access via PM and pointer to the specific images you want to have alt tag.

Best Regards
