I have installed a fresh new joomla with your
megadeal_quickstart_j3_v2.0.zip package.
I have made a generic child product named "Size"
for the New Ceramic Vase.and it is bonded to the SanDisk Cruzer Blade.

In the detailed product view there is the generic child product drop down menu, but it is missing in the simple product view.

When I change the template to protostar, the
generic child product drop down menu appear.

Please be so kind as to help me, how can I set the same
at the MegaDeal template.

Hi,
If I may...
This template is "VERY" old, it was based on Helix II, not new Helix Ultimate nor Helix3.
The last update was 3 years ago(!)
Honest advice: I do not recommend using it.

Please choose a different e-commerce template, it would be much better if you want a solid product with the future.

Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for your advice!
I have downloaded the "Arino" template and quick start.
Unfortunately the quick start is integrated with J2store but
I use now the Virtuemart. As described the template is for
all e-commerce website, but the page builder is integrated
together with the J2store only.
Could you propose an easier way as remove the j2store and
install the Virtuemart?
Or what do you think about Virtuemart and J2store?
Thank you for your info in advance,
András

In each of our templates, you can install those (or other) e-commerce extensions.
J2Store you can simply uninstall, and install VirtueMart (VM) in that place, it will use default VM styles.

Personally I don't use VM anymore, I and all my friends had only problems with this software in the long term.
I use HikaShop or J2Store or JoomShopping.

An alternative way is...
Use Joomla for the whole website and use PrestaShop for the shop section only.
A dedicated shop script would be always better written than components for any CMS.
Always check reviews and accessibility of payment systems for your country.

Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for your advice I appreciate it very much!
I will check j2store later but I need now a quick solution.
I have made a fresh install with Arino quick start.
After installation at the first start I have received an error message:
"Error 0 Joomla Filesystem File delete Failed deleting inaccessible file 1 joomla_update php"
Then I started to delete all the j2store extensions with the extensions manager, but
I have received the error message as follows:
"Error 0 Joomla Filesystem File delete Failed deleting inaccessible file j2store xml"
All the files have the ownership root:www-data, access rights are 775.
What I need to do?
Thank you in advance,
András

Instead of deleting files, always first disable extensions (!)
in your case, you should disable all extensions which have j2store name

I have made it.
But unfortunately by the Uninstall I have got the same error message:
Joomla\Filesystem\File::delete: Failed deleting inaccessible file j2store.xml[attachment]Screenshot_2019-11-15

Oh, in that case, use Private Message (hidden in profile) and send me access (super user + url), I will clean up there
