1. Crux

I have bought Basic membership.

After several emails with support the home page actually works. All the other sample data 404's. You can check it out yourself @ http://melded.unwiredvideos.com.

I went to edit the modules and to try and see what was wrong (404) and it looks NOTHING like the seminar I watched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVbdSgnIbmM‎.

Please look at mine in comparison (attached).

I have no preset manager, module manager, I don't have 90% of the things advertised on the Helix page.

Please help!

Regards,
Unwired.

Hi, Crux is not built with Helix V2. It was developed with Helix V1 thats why you can't see that things in the template manager.

Well that's a shame. It's the kind of site I need (with the forum and all) and I'm bad at default Joomla. Is there a way to port Crux over to Helix V2 rather than V1? V2 makes V1 seem obsolete.

When I purchased membership I didn't realize I wasn't getting the latest version with the template I chose. If there is no way update the site, an alternative or a way work out the plethora of current issues; I will have to consider applying for a refund.

Thanks for all your help thus far.

There is nothing shame here. Crux is powered by Helix V1. If you don't want to use Helix V1 based template then we are willing to refund you.

Is it possible to upgrade Crux from Helix V1 to Helix V2? Honestly you guys are the best out there for Joomla and I really want to use your services. The problem is Crux is the only design I can use that suits my needs for a News site alongside a Community Forum.

I would really like to stick with you guys.

Regards.

Sorry, there is no way to upgrade crux to helix v2.
Well, I want to know why you need to upgrade to Helix V2? Any specific reason?

The features on V2 in comparison to V1 are "next generation". Being able to visualize the modules and their positions in V2 (I saw it on the webinar) won me over. I wouldn't even have chosen Joomla as a CMS if it weren't for your product. As well as the added functions for presets (and much more) it makes V2 a much better choice.

In the gaming community change is always happening and Helix V2 seems much more appropriate. I need a site that looks like Crux and acts like Crux but is more centralized around media, news and community rather than ecommerce. Most of all I need a site who's CMS is easy and quick to use while remaining seamless.

I really loved what I saw in that Webinar, you did a great job and it's why I decided to come to you guys in the first place :)

Edit.

If you could take a look at websites such as http://www.enjin.com or http://www.guildlaunch.com you could see why a more polished buy similar product like yours is the much better alternative. Their modular system is extremely awesome in terms of ease of use, but yours is much more seamless and attractive/polished.
If Helix were to add even more module support in terms of in-browser visualization where you could edit them from a preview of the site like the other services above I think it would go above and beyond the current market.

It's quite a large market too, if you ever decided to release more Gaming Community templates.

If you are constantly updating your templates and Helix (in sync so both are compatible) then it would also eliminate piracy and other similar problems.

Hi, thanks for your suggestions but unfortunately we are unable to update Crux to Helix V2 but we have a plan to release another Gaming template this year. So, if you continue with this one, you may upgrade later :)

I actually need to get a non-profit website up by the end of January due to licensing issues with a VOIP service I have.
I would really appreciate if you could work with me in modifying Crux to better suit my needs. Also if it isn't released within 3 months my membership runs out anyway :(

Once I have shop elements removed and replaced with things like "Games our community supports" rather than "Top Sellers" it will be fine.

I will email you concerning the customization of the site as I think I will need your help with adjusting the virtueshop (the site practically runs on it?).

I would definitely love to stay with you guys and support such awesome templates and frameworks. Hopefully we can sort things out and I will be a returning customer!

You can change shop from module parameter.
Step1. From the module parameter select source as K2.
Step2. Now set Readmore text "Details"
Save the module and you are done now.

I can't work out how to get rid of the shopping cart without another module stretching and looking bad. Is there a way to remedy this?

The "Recent Activity" and "Recent Users" module is also broken.

The Image Slider extension is pulling the image from the main thumbnail and auto-scaling it to the smaller thumbnail size and looks really bad. Is there a way I can upload a "large thumbnail" and "smaller thumbnail" to make it cleaner?

Add some more articles to see it looks better. I have set Read More text as Details.
