Resolved Image Carousel: how to keep image aspect ratio

Please check on https://dev.jkmeiringen.ch. It is on the main page in the section "Unserer SÄNGER". If you open the page on a web browser on the PC it looks good.

If you open it on a mobile phone in portrait it looks squeezed. Then turn to landscape and it will look acceptable. When you turn back to portrait it doesn't return to the squeezed mode and the pictures don't fit into the screen anymore.

Thank you for the suggested solution. Unfortunately, it doesn't do the job: I can adjust the settings to look nice in portrait mode. However, if the mobile phone is switched to landscape mode, the problem remains - even if the pge is refreshed.

Hence, it would be great to have a parameter that the image must be displayed with correct ratio. Either fill the space and align centrally | left | right | top | button or the full image should be displayed and padding is added accordingly.

I recorded a session on a iPhone. The video can be found here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnJsNVBlwg8PqUGmr9fzRRUHqCvb?e=HJXvLs (valid until 2020.08.31). As you can see the carousel scales differently between portrait (starting mode and wrong ratio of the picture) and landscape. When I move back from landscape to portrait, only part of the picture is seen. However, the ratio is correct, but the picture should scale down to see it in full. Then I refresh the web page in portrait mode and you can see that the ratio of the picture is wrong again.

Due to security reasons, we do not hand-out administrator access. We can always to a session by phone, skype, etc. Thank you for understanding this.

Hi. Image Carousel addon is a very crude. This requires some additional css coding. This is unique in each individual case and depends on the image size and proportions. Therefore, there is no universal solution.

It seems that this is still unresolved. Maybe I am missing something, but it will be fine to have a checkbox to keep aspect ratio.

In the meantime this works for me, I have added this custom css in the style tab of the addon:
