Hello there,

as already known, the DSGVO has come into force in Germany since 25.5. To be on the safe side, I would like to integrate the built-in Google Webfotns manually - so that is no more connection to Google.
Can someone perhaps tell me, whether it is possible on websites which were built with joomshaper / sppagebuilder to disable the webfonts and integrate it manually ? And maybe, how can I do that?
That's why the first companies already admonished!

Thank you very much.

You cannot as far as I know host the Google Fonts on your webspace. They will always be imported from Google.
All you have to do is tell the user that they are being used in you Privacy Policy.

You can however purchase your own web fonts and use them:

  1. Disable all Google fonts in the Template Style

  2. add web font folder

  3. Copy your web font folder to: templates/{yourtemplate}/fonts/.

  4. embed font

  5. Open (or create) file custom.css located in the templates/{yourtemplate}/css them import font(s) you just added:

    @font-face {
    font-family: 'MyWebFont';
    src: url('../fonts/webfont.eot'); /* IE9 Compat Modes */
    src: url('../fonts/webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'), /* IE6-IE8 */
    url('../fonts/webfont.woff2') format('woff2'), /* Super Modern Browsers */
    url('../fonts/webfont.woff') format('woff'), /* Pretty Modern Browsers */
    url('../fonts/webfont.ttf') format('truetype'), /* Safari, Android, iOS */
    url('../fonts/webfont.svg#svgFontName') format('svg'); /* Legacy iOS */
