Hello, is there a way on the blog to show the Create Date on the left top corner rather than the Publish Date (see attached)? I want to use blog as an event calendar.
Please advise.

Hello Tafiq.
I have the same question ...

If you change the "Creation Date" of an article to a future date, Joomla still shows the article with that date.

The idea would be to use this possibility to create event type articles. (showing future dates).

To do this, on the blog, you would need to replace Publish Date with Creation Date.
How to make?

Hello Tafiq.
I don't think I explained myself well enough.

I intend to use my articles (news) as if it were a calendar of events.

Here is an example:
Today, I publish an article (event) announcing that on November 19th there will be a concert by an artist.

I would like the date of November 19th to appear, not today's date (date of publication).

I found that if you set Joomla to show Creation Date and hide Publish Date, it works. It will show the date of 19 November in the article.

See Fig-01

(Will not schedule the article to be published later, as I intend).

The article Scroller module is showing the Creation Date already.
See Fig-02

I went to
components / com_sppagebuilder / addons / articles_scroller / site.php
and changed
$ item-> published_up
to
$ item-> created

It worked.

See also Fig-03
(The blog page should also show the Creadtions Date instead of Publishing Date)

Thanks

I figured out a solution that works for me. I SET all of the article publish dates to equal the create date, then display the publish date on the article blog. i wasn't aware of this issue with displaying dates before I started entering over 200 articles. However, we should have the ability to display either date on the blog layout as the options in Joomla suggests. I don't know if this is a template override or Joomla bug.
