1. Helix (not supported anymore)

We are using all the latest Joomla/Template/Plugins however, when the Helix Template is use it Removes the Menu Item's Browser Page Title and Page Description.

If we select the Prostar Template then the 2 lines of meta data return..

The Helix template is picking its own meta data from the article....!!! How do we stop this?

If you check the "Page Source" of this website/webpage you have the same problem..

The Page Title of this page is:- The first H1 tag in the article.

The "Page Description" of this page is the first bit of paragraph text..

This is the issue we are having, now way of overwriting this problem...

Menu Item Meta data should be 1st in line and overwrite ANYTHING else added elsewhere..

Hello,

Then please can you provide me with a way of disabling it completely... We cannot have this, how can the client manage IMPORTANT meta data if the template causes this error.

The logo div was wrapped in an H1 class which was bad for SEO and now your suggesting you can't mange meta data??

Please can you provide me with a way of stopping this from happening.

Thanks

I have un-installed the "Helix3 - Plugin" as suggested and it is still picking up meta data from the article, I have also tried it with the "Helix3 Framework - Plugin" disabled and enabled, this has no difference either.

Its very important to SEO the you can manually handle and manage the Meta Data, both Page Titles and Page Descriptions at present this system doesn't give you the option. The meta data it is picking up is BAD for SEO..

Please.......... How do I fix this, I just want to use the standard Joomla Meta Data added within the Menu Items..

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for my mistake. Menu metadata feature comes from by default Joomla.

-Thanks
Yes, this is the issue we are talking about, when we use the Helix3 template the normal way in which Joomla meta data is written is changed.

Using the Helix3 template meta data is now the article title and the first "150" characters from the article paragragh text.

How do I stop this from happening, I just want to use the standard Joomla way using Menu Items..

P.S. Un-installing helix3 plugin doesn't work........
Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Got it. It has a problem. I have noted & forward this issue in our developer team. Please wait for next update.

Hello,

Please, before I lose a customer.... I NEED a way of fixing this issue. They have an SEO company biting at their heals to get custom Meta Data added, and at present with the JoomShaper Template we are using we cannot. We are a Developer Paying License holder so PLEASE provide a quick fix to this until the update is released...
I have reported this issue some month ago. Joomla Menu item page class is not rendered.
Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Almost solved our end. We are working on Helix3 update. Please wait for next update.

Hi @Toufiq Is this solution a fix for the <meta property="og:description" >?

I am also using Helix3 and News365 Template and the meta property="og:description" pics up the first 158 text from the article instead of the 'Meta Description' which I have entred on the article page.

Find below example you can see that its picking up the article text and also showing the 'loadposition' short code for the module.

<meta property="og:description" content="Handling Baggage Pickup Request at Departure {loadposition amp-title} SOP Number: FO – 42 Department: Concierge - Departure Baggage Pickup Request Date Iss...">

Please let me know if you want me to create a new ticket for this issue.

Hi there, I am not sure what are you looking or what about your issue. Would you please explain? Thanks
Thanks

Hi there, I am not sure what are you looking or what about your issue. Would you please explain? Thanks

Sure, the issue here is under the html element <meta property="og:description" > which is used by facebook opengraph, as you can see from the attached screenshot the og:description should show the meta description entered under 'Joomla article -> Publishing -> Meta Description'

But when using Helix3 instead of picking up the Meta Description mentioned in the above path it is showing the first 158 Text from the article.

Let me know if you need any further details.

Many thanks,

You are sharing the screenshot:
<meta name="description" content=" ">

Whereas I am referring to:

<meta property="og:description" content=" ">

Hope the question or concern is clear now?
