Hello Team,
I have been searching all over the web to fix this issue before posting it here. I've also searched the whole forums where there is a thread that talks something similar, however due to to no response there, I am posting it here fresh.
Fontawesome keeps throwing 404 error. While checking the forums, I came across this post and have checked both locations mentioned by Rifath in the post and found the fontawesome files there, however I still get this 404 error.
It says it is missing from: /templates/shaper_helix3/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Category not found)
I went it and looked for the file and found it there.
I also found it at the location mentioned by Rifath ( 'plugins\system\helix\fonts\fontawesome'.)
Due to the file being reported as missing, the site takes extra 5 to 6 seconds to load (See attached screen) which is a high time.
Please help me fix this issue.

is also in original package of font awesome.

I think it can be two reasons of your error:
1) Check file rights - just try to open/get access to this file from whole url
2) Server settings somehow, because extension has 5 letters not 3 or 4 like typical.

You can also remove it from helix3, only one line of code should be edited, inside css\font-awesome.min.css

Thank you for your valuable help. I have cross checked all the files in the fonts folder and found them with 644 file permission.
The following files were found in the folder:
fontawesome-webfont.eot
fontawesome-webfont.svg
fontawesome-webfont.ttf
fontawesome-webfont.woff
fontawesome-webfont.woff2
fontawesome.otf
IcoMoon.dev.commented.svg
IcoMoon.dev.svg
IcoMoon.eot
IcoMoon.svg
IcoMoon.ttf
IcoMoon.woff
I tried to access them individually by visiting the whole URL.
I was able to access them all except the following two files:
fontawesome-webfont.woff2
fontawesome.otf
I went in to the file you've mentioned i.e. css\font-awesome.min.css and removed the following line of code:

The error is now gone, looks like it took some time.
I am trying to tune in the site for better performance. I am using Jch-Optimize-Pro.
I have reached 7 seconds so far, any tips would of great value.

I need to handle the external resources in a better way i.e. Google Ads which are piling up several seconds on the load time.
Can you please guide me.
Here are the few things that I really need to do with external resources:
Add Expires headers
Make fewer HTTP requests
Use cookie-free domains
Reduce DNS lookups
Compress components with gzip
Avoid URL redirects
Configure entity tags (ETags)
Please Help.

Clear cache after changes.

Make also extra test,
disable all cache plugins, then clear J! cache and test domain on speed tester and check if this time service will be able to get access to them.
About woff2 I can imagine a "problems" but with popular .otf - not really.

I have done that already for the internal resources. How can I achive this for external resources. Google Ads are one major concern.
