I noticed that this News Show SP2 module has not been updated for more than 14 months. Maybe you need to update it to support latest Joomla 3.5.x core and PHP7 . At the same time, I would like to suggest a new feature, hope you will add it when updating this module.
A very simple but very important feature, this feature is missing in almost all "article display" modules in JED.
It is:
<blockquote>A link or button to show "more articles from the same category"</blockquote>
That is to say, show a link such as "More" , just above the article title list, this "More" link (or button) will automatically link to the category article list view. See attachment (this is the image for your module on JED, but in fact your module can not do this "More" ).
I had tested News Show SP2 v2.9 (the current version), though there is an option for "More" , but that word is not a link, is not for "category article list view".
