  2. SP Page Builder 2.x (not supported version)
  3. Friday, 31 March 2017
I am using accordion addon and inside of each accordion items I write a code for embed pdf documents.

The code is taken from two differents plugin suppliers (ARI Docs Viewer and Secure PDF Embeder)

Both plugins work well in single articles but if I copy the code inside of the SP Page Buider accordion addon items, the embed pdf article is not shown. Instead the page shows the code.

ARI code:
{aridoc width="100%" height="800"}http://yourwebsite.com/images/PDF/yourdocument.pdf{/aridoc}

Secure PDF embeder code:
{pdf=http://yourwebsite.com/images/PDF/yourdocument.pdf|100%|600|pdfjs}

Note: This plugin worked well with SP Page Builder v1.x

Cuold you help me please?

Hi,
current version od SPPB doesn't support most shortcodes.
You have to consider to use different solution, maybe JCE Pro or Button addon.

Hello Guillermo,

Instead of using a Joomla plugin you could also consider using Microsoft Onedrive. If you have a large amount of PDF's, you can save webspace at your webhost and with use of the generated embed code you can show the documents to your site visitors.

If you have a bootstrap template you can use hide-xs for the embed code and visible-xs for a button which directs visitors to a shared link to the same document. Just a thought / tip :-)

Hi Paul

We have tested again the ARI Viewer Joomla Plugin that has { } characters and it works well.

The problem continues with Secure Embeded Code (That I really need): I read that it use a character like "|".

I use this plugin because our PDF documents has two secure conditions: non editing & non printing that Secure Embeded Code from JoomlaKave offers us.

I think that this documents on the cloud (onedrive) has not this security levels. And the Adobe security is lost with Mozilla browser

Does anybody know an alternative solution (plugin, module) that could save the before secure conditions?

Paul: Could SPPB developers to add this specific character "|"?

Thanks again

Hi Paul.

I contacted the Joomkave forum about the change of character "|" and they answered me:

"We are not sure, will it work in SP Page builder !. "We can change the Shortcode and remove "|" character and send you the updated ZIP. If it works for you, then you are lucky".

I am expecting the new plugin and I will comunicate the final result.

Thanks for your help.....

Did you manage to make it work?

Hi Carlos. No yet... JoomlaKev has not sent me the file. SP Builder not work. We partially use SPBuilder with the module addon option. In this module has other accordeon addon (from differente provider) , that acepts the embeded code; {pdf=http://yourwebsite.com/images/PDF/yourdocument.pdf|100%|600|pdfjs} . And it works well. In this case SPBUILDER PRO (paid) works like an auxiliary addon of other accordeon module (free). :) :) .

I am going to test the Paul solution: use button addon

That's what I was about to propose. JoomShaper propose to use a custom module to write the shortcode.

In this link, go to how to tips and then How to use Shortcodes from plugins

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3#documentation-heading-8_6

You should see something like the attached image.

They should add an option to write shortcode, and then they could wrap that shortcode into a custom module (or something) to avoid this extra step to the final user. Let's see if they develop this feature soon.
