I have a row in a template that is split into 3 columns, i need to make 1 of those columns have its own background colour but i cant seem to see any to set this ...
Am i looking in the right place or am i missing something

Hi,
For this you have to follow these steps-->
go to colulmn->right click->Column->Options->Select background color from the right position.

I tried this but didn't have much luck....
This is where im trying to make the change, in he master template.

I cant seem to get the detailed column settings that you did.

Hi,
Ok, no problem then I have another solution. Give your site URL. Only site URL not administrative URL. And give a screenshot and mention which column background color you wanna change. Then I will do it by using custom CSS

Thanks for this.... As below im looking at changing the background colour for "TOP2" only

Hi,
Use this custom CSS

#sp-top2 {
background-color: yellow;
}

Add this css code inside the custom.css file.
Note: Path towards custom CSS:
Extensions>Templates>Styles>
Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options.
Then find custom CSS within the custom code.
