Resolved articles for 2 templates

there is a trick which may work:
1) You need a new menu item (it can be hidden too), a blog view type
2) Choose exactly this same category as you have chosen in Article addon
3) In that menu item choose 2nd template

As you may see, sometimes you don't have to install a plugin or touch PHP code to get needed effects.

I faced issues that the way.
1. SP pages not controlled from blog.
2. Last main templates articles loading new templates.

is there have another complete solve way. For example loading from subdomains .

ad 1 and 2) Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.

On subdomain you have to install a separate Joomla, it's not a perfect solution.

Generally it works well but in our situation mix up with main website template style. Because categories using main pages.

Main category "News" > subcategory "New type A"
> subcategory "New type B"
> subcategory "New type C"

In main Site pages using Article addon Main category "News".

Then i used Main category "News" in that menu item choose 2nd template. Main template calling 2nd template landing on article.


Another problem is 2nd template article have linked to Sp pages then sp pages landed using main template.

in Short is there have solution for all content using 2nd template. we want to use news for simple mobile app .

Hi. I would recommend to install the Advanced Template Manager from RegularLabs developer. Then you will be able to finely control display templates

I got followed your recommend and installed the Advanced Template Manager from RegularLabs. Now using sessions and works as wanted. Then faced issue: i used article add on in all structure. then Joomla articles landing from articles add on it takes main template style. i thinking issue with in article add on .

Joomla articles landing from single article menu then takes secondary template style.
after set created single article menu for joomla article then The joomla article landing from articles add on it takes secondary template style.

Article addon works like news module -- only display intro of article(s), nothing more.
