Resolved Add new section in Layout of Finance Template

Hi Guys,

I have the following sections in the finance template


  • Top Bar
    • Header
    Page Title
    Main Body
    Bottom
    Footer


I would like to be able to add another section - but there doesn't seem to be an option to do this with the Finance template like in the Helix template, as per adding sections like this video.

I've looked around and the only reference to these sections is in the default.json file. Is there a way to either do an override or add another section to the template.

For context we are using this template to redevelop a large website that has multiple modules in many different module positions, I understand you can add sections etc in Page builder, but given the way this site has been built, adding these to the template then allocating them to module positions is a better option.

Any assistance or a link to documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Finance is based on Helix3, not Helix Ultimate.
It should be a very visible difference.

Basic steps:
1) Click "Add Row"
2) If you need more than one column click "Add columns" and select.
3) In single column click "gear" icon > Column Settings > Module Position > choose name from the list
4) Save, Save everywhere
5) To change row position use [+] grey icon at the beginning and move up/down

in general, that's all. I think you do not have to create custom names.

Ok - now I feel a little silly. I didn't realise it would be that easy to add new sections - I was under the impression that adding a row would add it to the four positions in the template.

Sorry for wasting your time guys - apologies - I'm new to your templating system (changed from using Rockettheme for the last 10 years to you guys) so am still figuring it out.
