Hi,

I use the PageBuilder default Accordion addon. The problem is when opening a new item that has a lot of content, the user has to manually scroll to the top of the page to begin reading. It's really annoying and unprofessional. If I have not explained the problem well enough, you can GO TO THIS LINK TO SEE THE PROBLEM I have tried the Accordion with other templates and it has the same problem.

I've found other people asking for a fix since 2017 but any posts I've read have not been helpful. I (we) need someone to please take the time to fix or figure out a solution. I don't mean to be rude or mean...it's not my intent; I just feel it is an obligation of any contracted company to support its customers and not rely on other customers to fix or solve problems. Since this problem is a main function of the Accordion addon, so it should be a priority item.

I hope someone will assist me. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.

I found the solution...if anyone is interested.
If you have longer text which doesn't all fit on screen then use WS-Accordion for Joomla. It is free, easy to use, customizable and most importantly...it works! Items with long text will automatically close AND SCROLL UP to the next item clicked. Users will not have to manually scroll to the top to advance to the next item.
It's too bad Joomshaper does not support their customers fully.

Also, I have checked your website now(you added new WS accordion module) and see that from desktop browser(chrome) accordion item clicked it jumping. Don't know that is good for you or not.

Yes, it worked fine for a while, but began to scroll up too high. Not sure why so I'm going to contact the maker and see if they have a solution. It would be nice to have a Joomshaper native accordion working, but I can't wait any longer so I have begun to try other possibilities. If you do find a solution soon, hopefully someone can post the fix here. Thanks for looking into this.

I figured out how to get WS-Accordion for Joomla module to work. The scrolling automatically scrolled up to the top as needed, but it was jumping too far up and not always to the same place.

I discovered in the module there is provision to set bootstrap with 12 different settings. It was a matter of testing and tweaking to make the correct one work. It still would be better to have Joomshaper Accordion fully functional.

JoomShaper accordion is fully function as like as Bootstrap does. You need extra feature we will try to find a solution for you.

The best solution...if you have to scroll up each time for new tab:
I found that dj-Tabs (not free) works great.

The previous module (WS Accordion) I used was inconsistent.

Hi there

I have the same issue and wondered whether JoomShaper has made any progress with finding a solution? I note that Joomshaper staff have replied saying that it's a limitation of Bootstrap. While I do have some sympathy for this, I don't think it's a valid excuse for complacency. This issue is preventing the accordion from working in a way the provides a good experience for users, so clearly it needs to fixed. Furthermore, it seems that other accordion developers have found a solution, so clearly it is technically possible to fix it.

I would love to hear that a fix will be found soon :)

In the meantime, there's a solution from JoomShaper?

As described above there are working solutions from other developers:
https://www.regularlabs.com/extensions/tabs/tutorial#settings-scroll-to-top
https://dj-extensions.com/dj-tabs/

If they can do it, you have to make it happen, right?

So please JoomShaper bring us a solution, thank you!

Hi Al

Can you please advise if the fix has been applied yet? And if so, what steps are required to apply the fix to an existing website?

Regards

Adam
